Today I spent some time in Tiger lady.

Sunday Preparation

I spent a lot of the day preparing for an art conference I will attend at the end of the week.  Tomorrow, I will be meeting with a client for a commissioned piece.  Some preparation for this event has occured today, as well.  Went to the art store to have a beautiful print by the talented Mrs. Camille Rose Garcia framed.  Hopefully, tomorrow pictures of progress will be up for view.  The painting in this post is from May.

Good Saturday

I did more detail work on the Catrina today, and worked on the Tiger Lady's hair.

Friday is over

Today I changed the color of tiger lady's hair and understood the direction I want to go.

Thursday with mild frustrations

Today I worked more on the butterfly mask.  I thought flowers would work in the hair.  But it still isn't right.  Tomorrow will be better.

Today I worked on a different painting. 

A Better Monday

Today was better.  I painted most of the clouds in the background.  

I also did some work on an older painting.  It was tough to get into it because I design my compositions differently now.

Sunday Frustrations

Today I worked more on the clouds.  The purple clouds were not working.  I tried a different type of cloud formation and it really did not work.  A long story short and a couple of hours of painting whited out.  Start fresh tomorrow.

 I have another started painting to share in this blog.  It is with the same model. 

Good thoughts; tomorrow will be better.  I will be successful and have moody fluffy clouds to show you.

Saturday

Today I completed the commissioned mini Munny.

I spent more time on the clouds in the Catrina painting, also.

Friday's Progress

Today, I worked on the commissioned Munny. It is almost complete.  Tomorrow I will take better pictures seal it and sign it for the customer.

I also did more work on the Catrina's face.

Thursday's News

Today I found out I have been commissioned to do a custom Munny.  It is a mini and will be challenging.  This is what I have so far.

I did a little work on my painting.  But it might have to wait till I finish the Munny.

Wednesday

Today I focused mostly on the face and eyes.  The face will need one or two more layers.  The eyes will need 3-4 new layers.  Not sure about the colors around the eyes.

Tuesday here and gone

Today I worked a little on the Red pinup painting

I also completed the head dress for the butterfly and flower goddess.

Monday Work

Today I did more work on my Red Pin-Up.  I spent a large chunk of my time understanding her chest plate.

Sunday Funday

Today I worked on a sketch for a new series of small paintings.

I also did more work on my new pinup.

Saturday

I started a new painting today.  I was thinking about doing a Wonder Woman pinup with it.  But, the more I look at the painting I don't think it will work.

Friday's Progress

Today I did more work on flowers.  I think I might have a shot of completing the flowers by the end of the weekend. 

Thursday

Today I did more work on flowers.  In the next few days I will finish up the flowers and start blocking in the background.

Wednesday

Today I focused on some flowers and a butterfly.  I started sketching and planning the background and filled in some hair.

Tuesday come and gone

Today I finished blocking in the butterflies.  Next is to tackle the flowers.  I already started on the Morning Glories. 

 In the next few days I will work on the flowers, hair (if any), and I will start experimenting with the background.  Clouds are at the forefront.  But I am contemplating if it will be clouds at dusk or dawn.

Sunday's frustrations

Today I started a painting of Sparta.  I am a bit frustrated with it and have been tinkering for hours.  She looks angry, and I can't get rid of the anger.  I will work on it more tomorrow.

I also practiced sketching for Dr. Sketchy next week.  I am very rusty.  

Today was all about color

Today I did more work on the butterflies in the Catrina painting.

I also did more work on the mermaid on the skate deck.

Friday's Events

Today I evened out the roses and skulls in the corset.  It was a lot of measuring.

Afterwards, I started the mermaid piece on the Skate Deck.

Thursdays ups and downs

Well, I wish I had more to show for today.  But I had a little issue with the right side of The Catrina's corset.  Basically, I had to black the right side out, and lose most of my work for today.  I did some work on the left side of the corset and sketched more butterflies.

I also sketched and inked my design for the skateboard.  I decided the butterfly and birds were not working.

Tomorrow will be better.

Work so far

Today I focused mostly on the black roses in the catrina's corset.  There was a lot of sketching and measuring.

Tuesday Already

I made more progress on my painting.  Tomorrow I will do more butterfly work and begin the black roses.

I also did some work on the skate deck.  Reconsidering my design.

Monday, already

Today I worked on a watercolor background for my Facebook and Twitter accounts in the morning.

In the afternoon, I sketched out the rest of the butterflies in the painting and did some blocking in on the chest and corset.  Tomorrow I will begin to sketch out the black roses covering the top if the corset.  I also started outlining my skate deck design.  I will have to make colors pop in order to give it some originality.  Maybe some Asian clouds or waves in the background.  I did not outline the rose above the butterfly.  Still deciding whether to keep it or not.

Sunday Evening

I was able to squeeze a little work in today.  I will try to do some sketching later this evening.
